Meeting Update - August 2019

Our July meeting took place in Wick in a beautiful garden setting. Members brought canapes to share with Pimms and we had a very enjoyable evening socialising and relaxing.

We collected donations to give to our local food bank and discussed forthcoming events.

Our August meeting was  entitled “A Summer Stroll” where our local guide and historian led us from Marshfield to West Littleton and back, stopping to visit the church, and ending with a drink at The Bull Inn.

In September we will be back at the Village Hall making lampshades.

Also in September we will be hosting a Tabletop Sale with tea and cakes. Please email annelouise29@icloud.com if you wish to rent a table for £10.

This is an ideal opportunity for an end of summer clear out with the chance to make some money and enjoy tea and cake!

Our book group met on Thursday 18th July at The Bull.  We discussed 2 books, “Nine perfect strangers” which most of us enjoyed, and “Mythos” which was also enjoyed by those who attempted to read it.

Books for next time are “The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry” and “Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows”. We will next meet on September 19th.

We welcome new members! Please email Anne at dyrhamandhintonwisecretary@gmail.com for details on how to join us.
